On Monday 4th April, Room 13b went on a trip to Te Pane o Mataoho.

We had such a fun day learning about the history of our mountain. 

            

We went on a Hikoi Maori. 

            

   

We explored Māori migration, oral histories and signs of settlement on the mountain.

    

    

We had the opportunity take part in a hands-on workshop. These workshops were interactive, we learnt different stick games and traditional games.

       .

We also walked through the Medicinal Garden that contains Rongoā plants used by Māori for healing in the past.
