On Wednesday June 20, Room 16, 25 and 9A went to Papatuanuku Marae in Mangere, as part of experiencing Maori culture in our community. Students thoroughly enjoyed a variety of activities prepared for our visit. A huge thank you to Valerie, Lionel, Carlos and Puna for the great day we shared as whanau. Luckily, the rain disappeared suddenly, when we got to the Marae. |
After morning tea, students were split into 2 groups. Rm 16 girls went with Mrs Dutt to do an activity with Valerie, using the rakau from Tane Mahuta. My boys were with me, as well as my 2 mothers, doing games with Rm 9A. Carlos and Puna were showing some Maori games, where the kids really enjoyed and had lots of fun. Faafetai tele foi …. Thank you to my 2 mothers who came with us. It was such a huge help from Mrs Vaifale and Tupu Feomai’a. God Bless you 😉 😆 ladies. |
