Years 2 and 3 in Room 20 have been learning basic Spanish lessons every Monday. These include the greetings, alphabet, days of the week, months of the year, dates, age and numbers. Students have shown enthusiasm and interest in learning this language.
The whole class can say or recite – Buenos Dias! (Good morning), Buenas Tardes! (Good afternoon), Buenas Noches! (Good night), Adios! (Goodbye), Hasta luego! (See you later), Gracias! (Thank you), Por favor (Please), Hoy es lunes. (Today is Monday), Hoy es uno de abril. (Today is 1 April) and many more with confidence. They love to sing Spanish songs as well.
Students believe that learning Spanish is quite cool and sensible.
