The John Walker Find Your Field of Dreams Foundation invited Sutton Park School from Years 3 to 8 to participate in their Community Swim programme. Established in 2008 Community Swim has provided over 850,000 free swim lessons throughout primary schools in Auckland South. Community Swim is proudly sponsored by the Lion Foundation, Auckland Council, Potter Masonic Trust and Water Safety New Zealand.
During Term 2, room 9a were very excited every Thursday morning to attend this free swimming lesson. Most students were able to gain confidence in water as well as learn new swimming techniques. We are very thankful to have been offered this opportunity 🙂
