Today was a special day for all Samoan teachers and students. This was the time- FiaFia Day! It was filled with Samoan Culture, performances, speeches, food and FUN. Even a camera crew was there to film us.
The school came to watch and support the Samoan Culture. We also heard the speech winners from the Samoan Bilingual stand proudly and say their speech with pride. And they are really good. The performance of the sāsā was really awesome. Especially the fight between Joseph Parker and Carlos Takam.
The Preschool even performed their little sāsā as well! And it was awesome!
At the end, the years 7&8’s performed our school haka for a special thanks.
After that long day, we all finally ate some delicious Samoan food, which included Chopsuey, Taro, Cooked Bananas, Chicken and Koko Laisa. It was a whole lot! And so delicious!
This was a fantastic week. And we all went home with a happy face knowing that the Samoan Culture is our family. All the best for the Samoan speech winners and faafetai to all the Samoan teachers.
